Sad

I do not have a better title for this post.  This morning I got up and started working on getting projects completed around the house.  The cats wanted to go out in the backyard so I went into the yard with them.  While out there I checked on dear sweet Bun (our rabbit).  I noticed she was not feeling well, so I took her out of her cage and petted her for awhile.  Then I put her back in her cage.  I went to go do something and came back to check on her and she was flopped on her side and convulsing.  Afterward she was limp.  She had this look in her eye that I will never forget.  I knew she was dying and there was nothing I could do to stop it.  I rushed her to our vet, but she died there, her heart stopped.  I feel like this is the straw that has broken me.  You can scroll down the page and see her picture on the sidebar.

In the evening Mark came home from work and told us that someone wants to see our house.  They are coming on Friday at 5 p.m.  I will be here alone because my men will be going camping.  Our agent said that it is one of our neighbors that wants to see the house, they are looking for a home for their parents.  Our house is not even listed yet, so it is nice that someone is already interested.

The painting in the powder room is done.  The bedroom is almost done (we still need to paint inside the closet).  We are starting to move things back in the bedroom.  The boys have Wednesday off from school so we will continue to work on the house.

I'm so sorry about Bun. My sympathy towards you. Our guinea pig, Ruby, died last year. She was 8yrs. old...a long life for a piggie. She just layed down and went to sleep so peacefully and never woke up. A few hours before she died I was petting her and knew she didn't feel good. I gently petted her, talked softly to her, and she just look at me with her big loving eyes. I am so grateful for that moment. But I did mourn her and still miss her sometimes.

It could be a blessing because Bun probably wouldn't have did well moving and now you don't have to worry about him/her.

I'm sorry you have to take care of the home stuff yourself. How sweet it would be if your home was perfect for an older couple to be near there family.

i'm sorry about your bunny. at least she had you with her to the end. she wouldn't have liked moving well. that would have been rough. perhaps this is a blessing. she lived a happy life.

glad people are interested in your home. i hope it all goes well. camping sounds like a good diversion.

encourage yourself in the Lord and be strong :-) You can do this. All these things will get better in time. Its just something you are passing through right now. God is walking with you through it.

Outdoor Mom, it is funny that you said "I can do this" because I have been telling the Lord "I can't do this".

I am so sorry about your sweet Bun! I got all teary just reading about it. Pets are so special, and really become a part of the family, don't they?

I am praying for you as you go through this difficult time. It must be so hard to fix up your little cottage just for someone else to buy. I will pray for God's timing, and for Him to send someone who will love it as much as you do!

I am so sorry about Bun!! You know I love rabbits too. Was Bun a rex rabbit (looks kind of like our rex). I will never forget when one of ours died ... unfortunately it was a pretty slow process. I am happy it was relatively quick for Bun, and that you were there - that had to comfort Bun.
I am glad she had you as her "mom."
